Good evening folkes...hows yer all doing?....aw peaceful here just waved off my son and my two grandaughter's who made a flying visit was so lovely to have them here but sadly on their way back to Bradford...little Frankie is 2 now and such a clever child not just saying it becuse she my grandaughter BUT!! she is quite remarkable she can count to 40 write her name draw triangles and rectangles squares and tell you the names of them amongst many other shapes..her sentances for two are awesome..she has quite blown me away this afternoon as it was Christmas when i last saw her its horrid them all living in Bradford and me here so visits are few and far between although Jessica whos 11 i saw before easter she is such a helpful slave lol!!! oh how they grow..was such a lovely day wich has lifted my spirits.....

on to my card now this is a first for me Distress inking....have wanted to have a go at this for a while and have been slowly getting bits together  stamps..inks..bushes and trying to find the best paper has been a nightmare...didnt know how much assorted papers where out there but finding Becky's cards she has helped me she is such a poppettand giving good advise on the paper was the icing on the cake..so at last papers here and started stamping a tilda ..I havent stamped in ages as im crap at it but dertermind to get it right.....so here the result my first ever distressed card and to be far im quite proud of myself i used to colour or should i say paint when in school and wouldnt go out and play but id stay in the Art room and draw and paint...i loved it on my own so childhood memries today..wish i felt like that kid again...but another birthday looming..argggg 59..there ive said it...oh shucks i really feel my age lol!!!!...well footie getting interesting so must go ..i hope you like my card  i dont like my pearls i thought i had some blue ones but coloured these and there the worng blue...never mind eh!! many thanks to all that continue to visit and leave me such uplifting comments have a great day sassy hugs to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxx mwah!!!popping her into

Love this Sassy! I think the dies I used on my Wedding card were either Memory Box or Cheery Lyn. I would get them from either Sunrise Crafts or Maddylisa. Sounds like we think the same! lol Hope your weekend is going well, Judy x

well done Sweetie!!! This your first time? Come on...it's fantastic and I know many other ppl who only use Distress Inks and are so bad in colouring :o)) LOL! I really mean it when saying that it's brilliant! The card is gorgeous and if you think your bluepearls are too bright, you could make them darker with some colour, crackle paint or something. I like it the way that they are.
Hugs, Alessandra

Only you could make a distressed inked card look so beautiful Sassy - lol.

Love how she's sitting on the edge of the lace, really pretty.

Glad you had a nice time with family xx

Hello Sweetie, and thank you so much for your lovely words of encouragement on my blog - now let me return the compliment! I think you have done an amazing job with the distress inks! Well done you!! I love painting with DI's and I use WH Smith's watercolour paper, 300gsm, but I always look for the smoothest I can get - some can be quite 'bobbly' while others are much smoother. (Their watercolour postcards, although expensive, are just beautiful to paint on!). Keep up the great work, you're doing a fabulous job - your card is sensational! :o) xx
ps - you could enter this in the Midweek Magnolias theme this week as it's May Flowers! ;o) xx
