Nicecrane Christening Box

A very good morning my sweeties......wow we have clear blue skies...but looks nippy...not complaining as its Saturday my day..to do what i want,,well sort off..i had some wonderful images sent to me as part of the DT for    nicecranedesigns. and i just love them so had to have a play wasnt sure what to come up with wanted something other than a card so i made a heart box..covered in lace ribbons and bows some chiffon flowers and the wonderful image of the sweet baby i have not  fixed the lining in yet but there is room for a small silver bracelet or gift i hope you like it..

was a but miffed as my top lace is more ivory than white but as i did it last night it looked white.well throughly enjoyed glueing and adding my lace and i think its quite pretty as you know me girly and frills.....have a wonderful day enjoy and stay safe sassy hugs to you all and many appreciated comments recieved your all the best sorry not the best piccis..the sun might be out but its not in my windows,,huh!!!!

i coloured my image with pro markers and used bronze liquid pearls for some parts of the design elements..homemade pins with pale green pins flowers wild orchids chiffon ribbon from stash and a pair of broken green sparkly earrings..waste not

Purple Saturated Canary

Hiya my sweeties....two post in one day crickey but not being well i havent really crafted for myself had DT work to do and it was all i could manage BUT last night i had two colours in my head i just had to have a play so coloured in lilacs and lemons a saturated canary i have had a few weeks now ..coloured with promarkers  not too well though as it was not in good light but shes passable i just had to get the colour combo..trimmed with some lemon lace a rather huge lilac satin bow..two handmade pins with dark purpley gems and of course woudnt be mine would it if there were no flowers lol!!!! anyways i hope you mght like her just a teeny bit ...thanks again for all the support and emails it really was superb of you ...so sassy still going...sassy hugs to you all that take the time to leave me a wonderful comment it really makes a huge difference you so the best bloggers in the world...xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Saturated in Blues

Morning my gorgeousnes.............well what a gloomy day.....was off to hospital today all ready  but just had it cancelled for a full day tommorow..so its hi ho hi ho off too work i go...with a shovel and a pick and a ruddy big brollie its cat and dogs today ...but pleased .im feelings heaps better..thanks for all the well wishes and emails they really kept me going....i havent had much mojo of late either but tried to colour a card last night nothing too special but its a start..ive had this pretty saturated cananry for ages nad havnet done much with her so out she came coloured her with promarkers added satin bow and some dark blue roses lso glittered her frock....havent done a great job on her hair..so must practise funny how one day its fine the next its pants lol!.....anyways..i was so chuffedat my little spot light yesterday that cheered my achy pains how nice was that???....felt rather humble and very honoured though...right me darlinks must grab the brollie and venture out ...ttfn ooodles of sassy hugs ..hello to my new followers too welcome and hope you stick around will get back to viewing your wonderous creations....

Well i never....well chuffed this made my week

Wow what a pleasant surprise from REDONKULOUS....HERE FOR DIGIS...This past week, I chose a winner for my first time ever challenge.  This was such a special moment for me, so I wanted to make it a special moment for the winner, Sassy.  I chose to put Sassy in the spotlight this week, and found out that she not only creates beautiful cards, but she has a wonderful heart too, from helping people in her daily life, to putting a lot of thought and TLC into her cards.  You will also see Sassy's cards throughout blogland.  In fact, I just stumbled upon her work on theCrafty Catz Blog, and once again my eye was drawn to her beautiful creations!  I was pleasantly surprised it was Sassy's card!  I will be sponsoring the Crafty Catz in March and July of 2013!  It's a small blog world isn't it!?!?  :)

I'd love it if you can tell us a little bit about yourself:
I'm a 59 year old mum and nan to 7 grandchildren.  I live and work in a historic midland town in Warwickshire looking after older people.  I have been in this job for 13 years and live on site with my Hubby and our beautiful cat Marvina, who escorts me whilst doing my calls, and who is still waiting for me if i have had to go into their homes.  No matter how long I have been, she is still there waiting for me outside...ready to follow me when I carry on with my daily routine.  The residents think she behaves more like a dog than a cat, and she is well loved.

When did you start creating cards?
I started crafting 10 years ago as a hobby.

What/who inspired you to create cards?
I have always been interested in arty stuff and joined a local art shop in learning different techniques and it has progressed from there.

Do you sell your handmade cards or do you do it for fun?
I sell quite a few commissions, which I love and see it as a challenge.  I just feel so happy when the recipient is happy with their card.  I do try and incorporate something about the person the card is for... like a favourite colour, girly or not, flouncy or frilly, vintage or modern etc.  I feel then, it makes it extra special just for them. No two are ever the same although I struggle with mens cards but will always have a try. 

What is your favourite occasion to create cards for?
I haven't a favourite occasion, but like to make sure the embellishments are taken into account always with the person or occasion in mind.  I'm quite a choccy box kinda gal, but not everyone likes loads of flowers or ribbon.  I try and tailor and personalise each card with every order I receive...

How long do you typically spend on a card?
Each card can take hours, especially if colouring is needed.  I always lay out my design before I glue, and try to balance the card. I'm also a matchy girl; making sure my papers, colours, and embellishments all work together.

What handy tips would you like to share with someone who is just starting to craft?

Just be yourself, let out the inner you, go with the flow - but whatever you do, be proud that you made it.  Looking back, my crafting has got me through many a bad times, and the best thing I ever did was get a blog...and give thanks for all the very special people it has lead me to find.DIGI BOUGHT FROMHERE!!!!

Good morning my sweeties......so sorry for the lack of commenting or blogging but am really going through the  mill or the wringer this chest infection and a bout of flu like symptoms on top  really is being a stubborn one to get under control ive finished my second course of antibiotics and steroids and yet im still out of breath with a rattle like a old bag pipe however some  improvement but still struggling just to get through each day.i have been back to bed everyday since the 10th September .and because i walk allot in my work im dragging myself round tyring to pretend im fine its along story with work..wont bore you all with the ins  and outs but thank god its Friday..even though i had a little break ive been back 2 days im kancked  ...

Evening my gorgeousness's. Do you wish you were part of a Friendly Happy Design Team, Have you ever thought of  applying for a DT then thought  Mmmm  no chance, well go for it ladies and gents.

We are planning to increase our team now and again after Christmas as there is going to be a few different things going on in the New Year

Sunny day and HUGE GIVEAWAY

Hiya everyone of my gorgeousness...well sadly  NO card.but sunny picci of Santorini. sending a sunny glow for all that might need one and thought  i would pop in and say hello i ended up in Hospital on Monday afternoon i have a really bad chest infection and felt awfully poorley really shaky..in pain..couldnt breathe i was gasping   no energy. i did talk them round in the end after a few hours on the ward to let me come home..so they dosed me up on meds..nebs..injections...but i needed to work as you know i have had probs with my employers as its not long ago i was off poorley then and i had the exam...but that i did have to cancel...so have been struggling through work,,in a way im glad as a resident needed me badly today and i got her into hospital i just knew something wasnt right.although the paramedics did say there was room for me too..he said i sounded like a rattle snake....lol!!!but im feeling a bit better today and .hope they get her fixed up real soon  too..shes a little hunnie  . had a quick flick through some mail and of course some blogs i will catch up soon with you all i promise but leaving you with this fab giveaway from a wonderfully talented lady INGER  for those that dont know her  she is just WOW!!!!!! love her style she really has been a inspiration to me and im so happy i found her a few moths ago...and just LOOK!!!! at what

Black & White & ribbon girl giveaway

Back to Vintage

A very good morning my gorgeousness..well suns shining so far off  in a while to get my rounds done and see all my oldies are all ok....hope its not as busy today as yesterday..but in my job one never knows what the day has for me.....my card today is back to vintage haven't done  a vintage card for what seems ages and as ever i was back in  my comfort zone and this is what i came up with rather a choccy box ott,,,but i just love adding all the bits and bobs with vintage cards i found a lovely pad of papers from paper mania called A silent night based on vintage Christmas paper quality is superb..and the colours are Burgundy's and goldy tones really bonny paper....and again had a good sniff,,mmm love new paper..anway ill stop rambling...i matted a layer a bit on this card and placed at jaunty angle lol!! sizziz fram in antique gold...new papers what bit you can see...chiffon bow and satin... distressed roses a hatpins i altered and a little computer generated sentiment....of course some lush lace and i found some old peel offs now i hardly ever use them now...gave like millions of sheets away but kept a few borders and corners so put a bit on to bring out the gold...right must dash.....will deffo be taking a good mooch round your blogs...ttfn love and sassy hugs thanks again for all the comments that make me smile....MWAH!!!!!!!xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Time for The Wise Owl

Hiya my luvverlies...just finished a long and busy shift..phew im nacked.....gorgeous days like today poop me out..feeling my age.....anyway i made this card a couple of weeks ago for a challenge and completly didnt read the theme lol!!!!.....so my poor little patchwork owl has not  been shown awwwwwwwww!!! but today i found a challenge i think i can  pop him into.....coloured in promarkers added different reversable papers and faux stiched added rolled paper flowers and leaves... from bits of the papers i used ..waste not added some ribbon it hadnt any before and also added  some little quotes   hence his title *the wise owl* Love..Peace..dream and believe..added a metal clock face and GOOGLY EYES ..just love em dosnt take much to keep me happy !!!..my coloring isnt too good ..its a very  small pattern and i hadnt got my extra fine nibs when i coloured him up  and close work is difficult with me poor eyes..so pretend you cant see it....heheh.....right must tackle ever more irionig..deep joy where does it all come from??...have a super rest of the day helloooo to my new followers happy to have you on board..thenak you from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful comments you so kindly leave me ....so still smiling ttfn.sunny sassy hugs to you all xxxxxxxxxx

Snow Fairy

Hiya tis only me my gorgeousness.......hope you all had a lovely week end have been out today with hubs making the most of my last few days of my annual leave and to get myself ready for exams on the 11th Sept...Got to travel to Worcester for the day at Head Office..how nice for me...Not!!!...right i coloured this little Mo's digi fairy in a couple of weeks ago i bought some new pro markers and for the life i cant think what colour it was but i rather like the bluey grey...added a few silver sticklers...some pearl spacers and a pearl...made from a broken earring..the backing paper is like a shiny pearl from a masculine pack i have had ages..like forever.....and some spotty paper from hot diggity dog by Andrea Jayne..i do so love these papers....i cut a nestie oval added two of my altered pins a double white bow and a few flowers.....oh and i  painted white two metal  corners from wild orchids....i hope you like her i think shes rather a cutie...will have a pop round your blogs after i have hoovered thed bed...YES!!!! im hoovering the bed...can think of a million other things id like to do...but needs must.....Sassy sunny hugs ..may big thanks for all the most welcome comments..there keeping me all smiley ..xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Vintage Christmas Nicrane designs

Morning gorgeousness...well up early for a change...aw the sweet fresh smell of freshly ironed folded  laundry...the beds all pristine and fresh.....everywhere sparkles like a new pin the  smell of polish mixed with fragrant flowers..looking out of sparkly clean windows..at my car gleaming in the sunshine  ...sheer..Heaven .*THUMP!!!!*..well back  to reality lol!!!!! haven't done a thing..well except more washing and stripped the bed.....so having a break and finished my card   from nicecrane..a picci from the Ladies sheet...used vintage lace..my sizziz ornate frame..mounted on papers from my stash ..added Christmas flowers a touch of glitter on the snow..ribbon and two large vintage hat pins i altered and topped off with a small tag out the top of the card with ribbon and lace.. i hope i have  given this the vintage treatment i hope you like it sorry picci s not that good today...well must get in gear....have a super sunday sassy hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Purple Birthday Girl

Wow what a day the times just flew!!!!!!!!!!....washing dry and now the greatest of joy..the ironing lol!!!! i have been trying to get my colouring in better and found KIM  http://www.justwordz.ca/ on you tube and blogger she uses pro markers and has such a easy going tone that i could watch and listen to  her all day colouring in....so with her help and my viewing this is what i came up with i give credit to her for the colour combo too as im quite useless in bright colours...and although i mucked up me boots... i loved the image she coloured i just had to buy it from.
